GRIMJACK

GrimJack Teaser If tarbox still checks in here, he'll understand how excited I am right now. I don't know if anyone else will.

GrimJack is back.

If you've never heard of GrimJack, he was title character of one of the best comic books from the '80s. Sort of a space-pirate / time-travel / voodoo / Illuminati / noir thing. Just excellent work. Along with American Flagg! by Howard Chaykin, this was the the book that I read without fail until the publisher (First Comics) went under. To me, those two books were right at the top of the indy publishing field at the time. The fact that his original creators are the ones reviving the series makes it all the better.

From the publisher's web site:

At last—GrimJack returns to the ever-shifting city of Cynosure, and creators John Ostrander and Timothy Truman reunite to tell the tale! There’s a firefight in The Pit and GrimJack is in the middle of the conflagration. His friends at Cadre have hired a beautiful vampire assassin to take him out. How does GrimJack save his neck—and who winds up in possession of Munden’s Bar, the nexus of all realities?

Order direct from IDW Publishing, or check your local comics store. The first issue is scheduled for January 31.

IDW will also be publishing the entire original GrimJack series in a single bound edition, both trade paperback and hardbound.
