Hm. Sounds to me like a stupid ad man (in the non-gender-specific sense of the word). I think the message is just supposed to be, "Hey, this guy's a moron! You're not a moron! You'd never stick a fork in a toaster!"

this reminds me of when i was 16 and i was in that wooden-floored record store in ridgmar mall in fort worth with my mom, and they had set up a promotional DEVO section, with that grinning golfman everywhere, and they also had those lurid b/w fotos of Booji Boy in his playpen sticking a fork in the toaster and sparks are flying... and my mom, looking at the combined weirdness there, in a stroke of coolness i've rarely seen before or since, inexplicably agreed to buy me a copy of that record. thanks mom.

Nope, I can't decide either. I've seen that ad before myself, and the strongest reaction it gets from me is that I wish I wasn't so phone dependent; I'd love to discontinue my phone service and cite that ad as the reason. However, being the meek little phone using sheep I am, I will just drive by it every day and pray silently that a couple of kids decide to get high and tag it.
