I spoke to Joe at Emo's last night and he said X was booked to play there, but I didn't know if it's confimed or not. I had no idea they are still playing.

their website, https://www.xtheband.com , does not have any dates other than some gawd-awful punk-oldies and nu-punk showcase, yech!

I would like to see them though since billy zoom is in the band again;, the only time i ever saw him play with them was the very brief soundcheck at the hotclub, remember that king?

well looks like the john doe solo effort is on tour sept / oct https://www.thejohndoe.com/tour.html
so I guess if we want to see X we'll likely have More Fun in the New Year. {the previous was a X-related pun; sort of.}

did anyone see Exene's new band the Original Sinners who toured july/august? I wanted to, but you know, they played on a school nite, i couldn't find my geritol, etc. The mp3s on their site https://www.nitrorecords.com/originalsinners.html sound alot like her previous side proj Auntie Christ, which is/was ok by me!
