no, i meant the band, but the kind of pixies you mention dave, they make good stix.
Another band i dont care about and never will, is the Replacements.
I have fond "doing stuff with Pixies in the background" moments, but am not too excited about them. I like some Replacements toons, but again, it's me fossilized brane remembering fun, stupid things with them as a soundtrack.
But Styx, now THAT was a band! And a candy.
Not to mention rap music.....
i don't own any replacements, either. there was that whole new sincerity thing that went right by me. people fucking idolizing those guys. i always enjoyed a true believers show, but didn't really get it past that.
dude, the replacements had NOTHING to do with the 'new sincerity' thing. They were all about big, ugly drunken bar punk. You must be thinking of old man Westerber's later stuff; when he decided he was a 'songwriter'.
Pixies rule, btw.

i've wanted to care about the pixies. i've tried to care about the pixies. i kinda like that track from fight club, that's the pixies right? but i don't really care much about the pixies either.
