Best in Show
It's the day after Thanksgiving, and I'm watching a dog-show on BRAVO...
and in between commercials the announcer seques to a behind the scenes look at the event. The camera approaches the kennel for the winner of the miniature-dog category -- a cute, overly groomed, toy poodle. The announcer prooceeds to tell the TV audience that this little champion is currently resting, but about 30 minutes before the "best-in-show" event, her groomers would wake her up and fluff her up.
Announcer#1: " I don't know about you, but I would kill for a personal fluffer..."
(pause)
(pause)
(pause)
Announcer #2: "Well, moving on..."

I will be out untill December 2nd...
Here is the itinerary John wrote:
Good Day Everyone!
On Thursday November 20th, Phil & John embark upon a
Odyssey, lasting for 11½ days through 10 states. This all came
about when initially discussing how Phil would be able to have an interview
at Naropa University before year's end. I had wanted to visit Sis in Michigan - so what came about is "why not both?". The plan is to leave after work on the 20th & overnight at Caprock Canyon, our usual haunt in the TX panhandle. Then it's on to Boulder CO, staying at Rocky Mountain National
Park for at least a few nights, then a hostel for one.
After the interview & orientation on Tuesday the 25th, we split for East
Lansing to visit Heather, her homemade Thai Thanksgiving feast, & her '70s moped (which I'll be
hauling back to Dallas with me). Leave the morning of Sunday the 30th ,
overnight in a state park or motel, arrive back in Dallas Monday December
1st .

Attention Audiophiles
Em and I are looking into getting a new stereo for the house this Christmas, and I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations as to what we should get (receiver, tape desk, turntable, speakers, we have a good CD/DVD player)? We're looking for a full sound, but also something that won't cost a gazillion dollars. Help us with your mighty brains!
