Best water management ever
Say you asked HR Giger to design a few levels of a first-person shooter then used those to design a system of managing the rivers that run through Tokyo. That's what G-CANS looks like to me. Octopusdropkick has an English description of the project, and here's a couple of pictures from someone who actually toured part of the system.

"Ol' Dirty Bastard, a founding member of one of hip-hop's best-loved and most influential collectives, Wu-Tang Clan, died tonight, reportedly after collapsing at a recording studio in Manhattan. The accomplished rapper was slated to perform with Wu-Tang last night in New Jersey, but didn't show. He was said to be complaining of chest pains earlier this afternoon. He would have been 36 on Monday."
Po' a little for Ol' Dirty Bastard, who managed to make it to 35 without getting shot.

3] i think i read the whole thing: they don't "own" your artwork, right? they just may use it for promotion of the shops & sites?

5] what else do i need to know?

writing assignment
i'm giving myself a research project: the 25 most "evil" men/women in american history. Of course, EVIL is a religiously loaded term that i intend to define later. Roughly, define it as the activities (inaction counts as action) of a person that causes the most deaths, suffering, to people & animals, loss of property & livlihood.
Christopher Columbus, slave trader, should start out the list. I'll be thinking of this list while i go vote right now. what are yalls thoughts?

fun with speculating the impossible
on this election eve let's cast the speculative net wife:
1] Will TX turn blue?
2] How many / who specifically in Bush's own staff & cabinet are voting for Kerry?
1] I can't see it happening, although if not now, surely it never will. Certainly not when Hilary runs, or Gore tries again.
2] Condi & Dick are out: Dr. Juicy Rice thinks she's married to the man, and Cheney has waaay too much invested. I bet everyone else in his whole staff votes for Kerry, just to collect unemployment, and be able to sleep / live with themselves for once.
