This is side one of a Playschool 7” that came with a Dukes of Hazzard storybook. The vinyl was skratchy so I burned it once so I’d never have to play the actual record again

This is My Way by Elvis Presley. It’s not rare at all; I have it on disc 4 of the 70s Masters, Walk a Mile in My Shoes. I am loving this song today, and I hope you do too.
Enjoy the King!

Here we have a smokin’ rendition of the Yardbirds’ classic “Heart Full Of Soul” by The Johnny Mann Singers - Some of you may remember the Johnny Mann Singers (no, Manfred and Herbie weren’t in the group) had their own TV show called Stand Up And Cheer (in fact, the National Lampoon parodied it as Throw Up And Cheer) - Both this track and the Kinks’ cover are from Capitol Records’ Ultra-Lounge series CDs On The Rocks, Parts 1 & 2 (many other EZ-listening versions of 60s/70s hard rock & top-40 hits are to be found on these two fine releases)…

For relief from the apocalyptic dread and stresses of 21st-Century living, Dr Nougat prescribes this potentially fatal dosage of Musical Valium: It’s Stu Phillips covering the Kinks’ “Tired Of Waiting For You” - Wish I could find some more tracks by this guy Stu, this is the true and quintessential Elevator Music, from the days when Muzak was Muzak (not the ‘something for everyone’ smorgasbord of world beat / adult contemporary / classic rock it is now). Do not exceed recommended dosage. Do not use while operating heavy machinery…

I know this is not going to work, but this is my first try so here it goes.
This track is by the Swedish country band called Nashville Train, from the mid 70s lp “ABBA Our Way.” You guessed it, it’s an all country ABBA cover band: that is, country music by Swedes. Swedes who think ABBA songs need to be country songs.
[deep breath] OK, so here is Waterloo, a song we all know and love, right? Now before you freak and write in begging for more, I can promise you, this is the best track on the record.
The cover art has a bunch of Swede-dorks standing on the cow-catcher of a locomotive engine. They’re all wearing coveralls and other “cowboy” get-up, and blonde hair and beards, very “dirty and scruffy.”
I bet this is the only commitment to mp3 this vinyl has ever had anywhere in the world. Enjoy.
